Job Description

  • Develop and implement effective animal health programs, actively participating in the definition of vaccination programs, anticoccidial programs, parasite control, monitoring water and feed quality, disposal of dead birds, etc.
  • Propose, approve, implement, and keep updated the "Contingency Plan" to deal with animal health emergencies (disease outbreaks), ensuring immediate actions to protect birds in suspects or confirmed cases.
  • Conduct regular monitoring of animal health through clinical examinations, laboratory tests and data analysis to identify trends and health problems, coordinating actions to restore healthy status.
  • Implement strict biosecurity practices, such as vector control, farm control access, regular disinfection of equipment and facilities, control of the movement of people and vehicles, or other risks that can transmit diseases to birds.
  • Work in collaboration with a sanitarist team, veterinarians, and other specialists to ensure all necessary animal health and biosecurity training, ensuring the application of best practices and preventing the entry and spread of diseases.
  • Responsible for defining procedures and activities that need to be standardized, reviewed and updated, based on new scientific information or changes in poultry operation conditions, as well as carrying out regular audits to ensure compliance.

Desirable requirements

  • Degree in Veterinary Science.
  • Good level of verbal and written English,
  • Minimum 4 to 5 years of relevant working experience in Agro operations.
  • Knowledge of problem-solving methodology
  • Knowledge of process management
  • Knowledge of project management
  • Knowledge of MS Office programs.
  • Knowledge to analyze information and organize management reports
  • Ability to make the company's operations more efficient, keeping quality standards and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work / interact with teams, with all levels of the organization and related parties
  • Good understanding and use of problem-solving tools (PDCA, Cause and Effect Diagram)
  • Ability to solve problems
  • Team leadership skills
  • Plan and work harmoniously in a multicultural environment.
  • Effective communication skills
