What will you be doing at Banvit BRF?
- Manage field operations of grains such as corn and wheat, supporting 3 feed mills in Bandırma, İzmir and Elazığ, in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders (production, quality assurance, logistics, suppliers, etc)
- Collect and analyze information from field operations to guide commercial decisions
- Define short, middle and long-term grains strategy for the region; generate alternative sourcing techniques
- Lead system design projects to improve supply chain and procurement processes to provide better cost & quality results for grains
- Develop and implement grains efficiency projects in close collaboration with the Feed Mill Operations team and experts
- Identify solutions to data management issues, track procurement department’s targets and report them to local and global teams
- Develop database to keep our teams up-to-date on real time market information
- Establish strong relations with farmers, traders, logistics providers, suppliers, and stock markets
- Monitor market conditions, agricultural innovations and relevant developments to perform accurate forecasts
- Prepare periodical reports on Turkish grain market landscape
What kind of profile are we looking for?
- University degree in Food Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a relevant area
- Min. 5 years of experience in agricultural activities
- Several years of grains related negotiation experience (preferred)
- Expertise in strategic sourcing, price formulation, exports parity, budget & cost management, supplier development, market research, risk management
- Solid knowledge of local and European markets (e.g. Turkish Product Specialized Exchange)
- Familiarity with local logistics (e.g. licensed warehouses, transportation)
- Technical basis in grains and poultry feed
- MS Office proficiency
