Main Activities
As part of our ongoing growth and commitment to expanding our global presence, we are pleased to announce an internal opportunity for the position of CFR Business Development Manager. This position will be responsible for leading the company’s international expansion strategy by identifying and developing new export markets, managing distributor and importer relationships – also enhancing the existing ones, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
Work with Supply Chain and Logistics teams to secure efficient and cost-effective product delivery.
Partner with Finance and Legal to ensure compliance with export documentation, trade laws, and risk management policies.
Conduct market research to analyze competitive landscapes, pricing, and regulatory environments based on market potential and current exports statistics.
Develop and manage long-term relationships with key distributors, importers, and partners (new and existing ones).
Negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to optimize profitability.
Description
Ensure customer satisfaction through regular communication, problem resolution, and value-added service.
Collaborate with R&D and Production to align product specifications and packaging with international market requirements.
Establish and monitor KPIs for export performance, including sales growth, market share, and profitability also by preparing all presentations and related reports to the area.
Optimize export processes, from order fulfillment to customs clearance, ensuring smooth operations, and full management of customer service department
Implement contingency plans to mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions or regulatory changes.
Design and execute the direct export growth strategy across targeted international markets.
Cooperate with Marketing to ensure a clear brand deployment throughout the different clients;
Implement routine of predictive sales forecast and create a clear routine of target deployment by salesman
Support trade shows, exhibitions, and B2B events to showcase products and strengthen market presence.
Develop promotional strategies to support the export sales pipeline.
Share best practices in export sales processes and train regional sales representatives or agents.
Provide coaching and guidance to strengthen the company’s export capabilities across markets.
Connect with other regions to ensure optimal product allocation
Knowledge & Skills
Proven experience in international business development and managing export growth in FMCG/food sectors
Strong understanding of global trade regulations, logistics, and international market entry strategies
Skilled in distributor/importer negotiation and management, driving long-term commercial partnerships
Excellent cross-cultural communication and leadership abilities, with a collaborative and solution-oriented mindset
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Think Cell, Word) for analysis and presentations
Self-driven and adaptable, able to work independently while effectively engaging cross-functional teams
Academic Background & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred
5 – 8 years of experience in export sales, international business development, or supply chain, with specific experience in CFR or Incoterms-based trading.
