What will you be doing at Banvit BRF?

  • Supporting the preparation process of monthly closing for audit process in IFRS GAAP, quarterly closing for audit process in CMB GAAP and CMB report in word format with foot cross checking (Turkish and English)
  • Preparing quarterly and monthly FS of Subsidiary
  • Ensuring accurate, high-quality IFRS adjustments according to Group requirements (IFRS)
  • Controlling & submitting an approval in SAP for manual posting entries that another financial department prepares daily
  • Working closely with External and Internal Auditors and the reporting team
  • Assisting the consolidation process including the recording of consolidating entries, reconciliation of inter-company and investment in subsidiary transactions
  • Managing chart of accounts mapping process between BRF Global and Statutory GL account
  • Tracking BRF Corporate Accounting requests and projects driven by BRF Global and internal teams
  • Providing support in internal policies, Sox and guidelines compliance
  • Supporting management process of Fixed Assets (FA) for physical counting, booking of purchasing and selling of FA
  • Ensuring posting records in VUK reporting and preparing adjustments in accordance with VUK policy (Bad Debt provision, FA records, year closing process etc.)
  • Tracking reconciliation of main accounts in TB and preparing weekly reports and presenting to management
  • Collaborating with Shared Service Centre to improve business deliverables

What kind of profile are we looking for?

  • University degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting or related fields
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant area
  • English proficiency
  • Willing to travel
  • Interested in an international working culture
  • Living in Istanbul or willing to relocate

What competencies are key to this role?

  • Technical accounting certifications are desirable (e.g. CPA, ICAEW, CFA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Good command of MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word)
  • Hyperion and SAP knowledge is desirable
  • Adaptability to complex processes, making fast and accurate decisions
  • Making processes simple and efficient
  • Ability to multitask in a defined timeframe
  • Acting as a team player by considering all stakeholders
